Going Bald for Gray: Family and Friends Support Young Leukemia Patient
|Pray for Gray|
After what they thought was just a flu, Nate and Lauren Hand found out that their precious 3-yr-old Grayson has leukemia. It's only been weeks, but Gray has gone through intense chemo and already started losing his hair. In solidarity, family and friends started going Bald for Gray and started a Facebook page called Pray for Gray that already has over 1000 followers and is growing.

The costs emotionally, physically, and financially are incredible. Gray will have to go through three years of intense chemo and treatment to the tune of $1million a year. Family and friends have rallied around the family, but you can see the strain on his young parent's faces in each Facebook picture. In it all, they continue to post upbeat messages, seeing hope and God's grace even through this incredible trial. It's the type of faith that humbles me, and makes me realize that my petty complaints really don't mean much when you look at the big picture and what really matters in life.

If you are reading this, thank you for stopping by. I'd like to ask you to Pray for Gray and LIKE his Facebook page. Family needs are being posted daily, and they need prayer and any kind of support like gas cards for the trips to the hospital, meals, and financial help. When this happened, a family friend paid for their home to be sterilized so little Grayson could come home between treatments. The needs for this type of situation are great, and I really hope that you take a moment to say a prayer for Grayson and share with friends and family. Friends are also looking for corporate support for some of the more longterm needs of the family.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE HAND FAMILY, PLEASE CONTACT THEM THROUGH THE PRAY FOR GRAY FACEBOOK PAGE. THE PAGE IS MANAGED BY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND PROVIDES THE LATEST UPDATES ON GRAY'S TREATMENT AND FAMILY NEEDS.
THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS.
