HEARTLAND MARIMBA QUARTET

HMQ provides a dynamic public image for the HMF organization by focusing on high caliber performances of contemporary works by American composers. Additionally, the ensemble, with the diverse and broad experience of its performers, serves as the primary artist teachers/mentors to the students of the annual HMF Academy.

HMQ is a year-round performing group made up of accomplished marimba specialists that are committed to refined and exciting performances of American music. Its regular engagements include: a 1-week(+) tour the fall semester, a 1-week(+) tour in the spring semester, and a residency during the HMF Academy.
