Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival To Present Lois Weber Award To Sabrina PeÑa Young BUFFALO, N.Y. - June 30, 2019 - PRLog -- Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival will present this year's Lois Weber Award to local artist Sabrina Peña Young. The festival's mission is to bring the best independent genre films from around the world to Western New York, and to shine a spotlight on local film artists. Now in its seventh year, Buffalo Dreams is a multi-genre celebration of independent film which runs for one week, August 23rd – 29th, at the Dipson Theaters Eastern Hills Cinema, 4545 Transit Road, Williamsville, New York. Vocal Recording for New Science Fiction Film Spiritus

There are many things that I don't do, and typically acting is one of them. However, I enjoy doing voice acting for animation. What's nice about voice acting is that you don't really have to look like anything in particular to play a voice, and since I was a kid I enjoyed coming up with weird and goofy voices. So as for being the lead actress in a film, yeah, never going to happen, but I do enjoy playing strange characters behind the scenes. 

So taking this week to work on my animated science fiction film Spiritus! I am using Moviestorm animation. Have been having some shadow issues this week, but that's okay. I have been using final cut pro and MOTION to add effects and do a tight edit.

An original experimental animated film , a student film, created around 2006. Using a combination of Final Cut and Bryce, I developed a stark alien landscape and a quiet being being terrorized by a bizarre creature that I lovingly referred to as the "eyeball monster".  This was a student film first created while doing graduate studies in film and new media at Florida International University in Miami, Florida . The soundtrack was originally written for another of my experimental films , but I found that the music matched these visuals quite nicely, so I cannibalized my soundtrack and used it for this film.
