Recording Ancient Woman 2 - Voice Acting for Science fiction

There are many things that I don't do, and typically acting is one of them. However, I enjoy doing voice acting for animation. What's nice about voice acting is that you don't really have to look like anything in particular to play a voice, and since I was a kid I enjoyed coming up with weird and goofy voices. So as for being the lead actress in a film, yeah, never going to happen, but I do enjoy playing strange characters behind the scenes.

Animated martial arts scene from Libertaria: The Virtual Opera. It’s the year 2139, and United States, decimated by nuclear war in the last half of the 21st century has splintered off into territorial factions. The sky has grown red, the water runs black, and hope rests on the shoulders of a young teen. Meet Libertaria, of unknown origin and unknown place. Left as an infant in the abandoned Lady Liberty Souvenir Shop in the year 2125, she spent her early years bouncing within the Factory. Aided by a woman known only as Nurse, Libertaria escapes Factory at the age of 14, traveling the bullet train from Nueva York, the capitol of the USSA, to New Miami in search of the one person that ever showed her kindness. A mysterious glowing medallion leads her to the Underground, a society of children led by the seemingly immortal Simeon. Roseman, escapepod.org “One of my favorite things about this story is its odd apocalyptic tone and strong sci-fi/fantasy foundation. The dark quality that comes with it is the cherry on top.” –FanboysAnonymous.com on Libertaria: The Virtual Opera  WHAT FANS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE LIBERTARIA CHRONICLES "Between the book, virtual opera, soundtrack, and all the extras, Young has created a convincing world...a da...

Singing geneticists and EPIC cyberspace machinima operas | Sabrina Peña ...

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. How do you stage an opera without an opera company, or singers, or a stage, or anything, really, except your own ideas? Sabrina Peña Young and many enthusiastic opera fans put together their own full opera production using crowdsourced performances and machinima: computer-generated 3-D graphics. It's how most operas might be done in the near future. Produced by Justin Bondi Productions ( http://justinbondiproductions.com ) Sabrina Peña Young composes award-winning experimental works, which have been presented at the Beijing Conservatory, the International Computer Music Conference, Miramax’s Project Greenlight, the Athena Festival, the New York International Independent Film Festival, Art Basil Miami, Turkey’s Cinema for Peace, El Instituto Cubana de la Musica, Pulsefield International Exhibition of Sound Art and countless arts events. Using Technology to Create the Virtual Opera Libertaria

Using Technology to Create the Virtual Opera Libertaria Creating a full‐length opera in the 21 st century requires a composer’s ingenuity and ability to think outside the box and into cyberspace. What do crowdsourcing, machinima, virtual auditions, social networking, and a libretto have in common? Each is a key element in the production of Libertaria: The Virtual Opera , a feature‐ length sci‐fi animated opera created through online collaboration and cutting edge technology. For those who live outside the 21 st century digital world, terms like crowdsourcing, virtual, and machinima may seem like a foreign language out of a Ray Bradbury sci‐fi novel. Crowdsourcing involves assigning tasks for your project to the public at‐large. More than simply outsourced, a project that is crowdsourced can involve dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people contributing a small part to the creative whole. Typically one person acts as the “brain” of the project, co...

Zombie Test Animation - Moviestorm and final Cut

So have been working on #cinematography and Moviestorm using #FinalCut on my new Mac. I like the results a lot. This is just a test animation for a short that I want to try to finish about a #zombie with big dreams. It's just an exercise, but thought I would share. What do you think? There are a couple of mistakes (like rain indoors) that I need to fix, plus cutting back a couple of shots and replacing some of the music, but definitely think that I am learning a lot.
