Making Music Using the Etherpad - Synth App

Making Music Using the Etherpad - Synth App I had a great time playing around with the etherpad on my new smartphone. What I liked were the lyrical notes of the melody. The app is pretty simplistic, but I thought it lent itself to a slightly eerie sound.

Enigma - Short Experimental Animation Film

This was an experimental animation work that I created while studying music technology at Florida International University. It took a semester to complete simply using some of the features in Final Cut. The beginning and ending are mirrors of each other, and I use various synthesis processes to create the sound, including using Supercollider, Soundhack, and other programs.  Enigma remains to be my most popular piece, with performances throughout the world at various music festivals. My husband and I often joke around that this was my masterpiece, the work I will forever be known for, as it is accepted almost any festival I send it to, and just remains to be a singular work of synthesis genius (I suppose).  In any case, I hope that you enjoy this work. It is mesmerizing to say the least, and quite an interesting sonic exploration.  -- Sabrina Peña Young Like this video?  Then you will love Composer Boot Camp 101:  50 Exercises for Students, Ed...

Sabrina Pena Young - MetaMorph I

Download the Music at: http://cdbaby.com/cd/sabrinayoung I created Metamorph for the Women and Identity Festival at the Deep Listening Gallery in Kingston New York, which was under the legendary Pauline Oliveros, who recently passed. The video is actually two videos of my body superimposed on each other, then effects were added. I took the shot from above me, while I moved around in a large beanbag. The end images, after being superimposed and overlayed, with additional color effects, resembled some sort of alien butterfly creature. The original idea was to create four of these and have them all playing simultaneously. However, I only had time for one, which I think was quite successful.  - Composer Sabrina Peña Young Download awesome electronic music at: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/sabrinayoung https://sabrinapenayoung.wordpress.com/ Like this?
