This was an experimental animation work that I created while studying music technology at Florida International University. It took a semester to complete simply using some of the features in Final Cut. The beginning and ending are mirrors of each other, and I use various synthesis processes to create the sound, including using Supercollider, Soundhack, and other programs.
Enigma remains to be my most popular piece, with performances throughout the world at various music festivals. My husband and I often joke around that this was my masterpiece, the work I will forever be known for, as it is accepted almost any festival I send it to, and just remains to be a singular work of synthesis genius (I suppose).
In any case, I hope that you enjoy this work. It is mesmerizing to say the least, and quite an interesting sonic exploration.
